Angel Jackson

Angel Maxton's blog says that "Some souls are so special, heaven can't wait." I believe that is the case today as we say goodbye to a brave CDH warrior who fought so hard during his short life. Baby Jackson took his last breath today around 1:00pm in Candice's arms. Rob and Candice are shattered right now, living every parents worst nightmare, but were remarkably collected as we spent time with them at the hospital this afternoon. It's not much of a surprise since they have shown unbelievable strength and courage during this long and painful journey. We know there is a reason and a purpose for all of this sadness and pain although we remain frustrated as we can't truly wrap our arms around it. Baby Jackson has touched many lives and taught us what true courage and bravery are all about. He has taught us to appreciate life more while demonstrating just how fragile it really is. We are privileged to have shared in Jackson's story no matter how short the chapter.

Rob and Candice, Stephanie and I are so very sorry for your loss. If there is anything either of you need, you just simply need to say the word. Take care of each other friends and we are here if you need us.

Shawn

  8. I am SO sorry to hear of Baby Jackson's passing. I have a special place in my heart for these sweet CDH babies as I have cared for many over my four years as an RN. Recently a nurse who worked in my NICU for over 20 years passed away and I know she is in Heaven welcoming Jackson with open arms. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you struggle through this difficult time in your life.

  9. I hope ur faith in God helps u get thru this difficult time. It's the only I got thru. I now have an amazing 9 year old boy. He was born 3 years after Jonathan. Time does heal a little. The important thing is to be there for each other. My ex-husband was not there for me. I hope u remember God has a plan. U won't get over it but u will get thru.

  29. My heart goes out to you both. I am so sorry to hear that sweet little Jackson is now playing with my Maxton. I know Max and he are looking down watching over us. It shouldn't be this way, but for some reason God saw that our babies would be great young souls in heaven. I posted a poem on our blog after Maxton passed that talked about what kind of place would heaven be if there were no children. I cannot imagine a place with no children! I am so sorry that your child, too, had to be one of the young souls there. If you guys need to talk, please don't hesitate to email me or call (270) 333-4731. I will be here day or night!

  32. I have been following your blog for a little while; I lost my son Thomas to CDH 2 weeks ago - I am so so sorry that you are having to suffer too at the hands of this horrible, random condition. At least you know that Jackson is now at peace and free of any pain. much love to you from across the Atlantic. x

  33. I am so sorry for your loss. I had such hopes for Jackson. I've been following your blog for awhile now. I lost my daughter, Sylvia, to cdh in February. CDH just isn't fair! Why our babies? The only thing that brings me peace is that they are at peace. You are wonderful warrior parents to warrior Jackson. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
